PowerTrack Training and the Adult Learner

Are you making the most of your PowerTrack experience? Whether you are a beginner or a PowerTrack pro, there are multiple training and reference tools you can take advantage of! Best of all, you can easily find training opportunities and materials tailor-made for you.

How do we accomplish this? To successfully train our customers, PowerTrack designs our training with the adult learner in mind. Adult learners are self-directed, responsible individuals who will learn the necessary information in order to complete a specific task. PowerTrack knows adult learners tend to follow four fundamental learning motivations:

  1. Adults need to know why they must learn new information.
  2. Adults prefer to learn through hands-on experience.
  3. Adults approach learning as problem-solving.
  4. Adults best retain information when the topic holds immediate value.

To continually address the adult learner motivations, PowerTrack provides role-specific online training. The online training is especially effective because each training session focuses solely on tasks relevant to your specific role. Examples of role-specific training include basic buyer training and basic seller training. The training covers significant tasks, such as submitting invoices, attaching notes, and creating reports. In addition, PowerTrack's online help features computerized simulations that demonstrate common PowerTrack tasks. In the coming months, look for "on demand" training modules which will accommodate adult learners seeking immediate training.

For fast assistance with new tasks, check out PowerTrack's Quick Reference Guides for job-specific instructions. For example, quickly learn how to add a service charge or change an account code. Each Quick Reference Guide contains detailed screenshots that take you through each task, step-by-step.

Successfully reaching adult learners via appropriate training is always a PowerTrack priority. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding training opportunities, please contact PowerTrack customer support at 1-800-417-1844 or at customer.support@powertrack.com.
